Brendan's Mouse

One night Brendan went downstairs and turned on the light to discover a little creature running around the living room. Brendan was quite surprised and wasn't sure if it was a mouse or a rat. The next morning Brendan came downstairs to use the computer in the living room and once again the mouse came running to him and Brendan was surprised. The mouse was getting too comfortable being in the house :P

After talking with a couple of friends, Brendan decided to set a trap "Bucket of Death." He set up a bucket with half filled water and a wire on top of the bucket. On the wire Brendan added a water bottle with peanut butter so that when the mouse climbs on there he would slip and drown into the water. The next morning there was no mouse and Brendan really didn't like the idea of "killing" a creature.

Brendan took a trip to Canadian Tire and bought a little box with door for mouse to go in for peanut butter but he wouldn't be able to get back out. He set it up that night but there was no mouse the next morning.

Brendan realized that the mouse had been in the pantry the whole time while we sealed the door thinking that the mouse was somewhere else. We finally put the box inside the pantry and few hours later the mouse went in.

This is the cute part... Brendan was so proud and took a ton of pictures and then decided to take the mouse and drive a long ways away and free the mouse into the wild. So cute.
