New Blog for the Gallagher Family!

You may be wondering why we are creating a new blog. Unfortunately, Connor's little helper has been extremely busy with school. Connor's Mommy is going to take over and write posts but it won't be as funny as the other blog :( At least you guys will be able to know what is happening from time to time. http://www.ourconnor.blogspot.com/ will be still up and we will let you know when Connor and his Daddy update the blog. The last blog post was on August 19 so I will have to jog my memory and try to remember what has happened since then.

Auntie Dor got to come down and visit on the labor long weekend. We all had a blast. We went to the beach, mall, out to dinner and just played with Connor. Our friends - Eliana and Jason came over as well and we hung out around downtown. Connor got some sweet attention that day. We went to Pizza Hut for dinner but it didn't turn out too well at end of the day. There was a huge mess on the orders and Eliana and Jason had to leave before the order arrived to catch the ferry. Dor got sick from the pizzas. :(

The biggest thing that has been happening in the last two weeks is Connor being sick. After going on a camping trip with Heidi Connor got fever that lasted for about 4 days. I took Connor to our family doctor and everything was fine. However, few days later on Sunday (16th) Connor started to shake and act really weird. To make the long story short Connor had to go to the hospital and get lots of tests done. The result was that Connor had mild ecoli virus in his kidney. We got medications for him to take twice a day for a week then once a day until the meds are gone. We also have a doctor's appt on the 4th to talk more about it. One of the questions I want to ask is .... how did he get it?! He will go to Children's Hospital to get more tests done to make sure that the virus is all gone in 6 weeks.

Connor's Gramma and Great Gramma came down for two days to help the family. They gave us all GREAT support and love and it helped so much. Thank You!!!

Last night I noticed that Connor had bump on his soft spot on his head. I remembered the doctor at the hospital saying something about the bump being linked to mengisitis but we had already gotten spinal tap test for Connor and the result was clear. We were still concerned so we called the nurse hot line and they recommended us to go to walk in clinic so we did this morning. The doctor said that Connor looked healthy and happy so he was almost sure that he was okay. Although, he said that he would like us to make an appointment with our family doctor as soon as we can just to be sure that all is fine.

Man - that little guy worries his Mommy and Daddy so much. I cannot wait until his virus is eliminated from his body and after he has his tests at the Children's Hospital. I love that guy sooo much!
